Rev. Michael Gentry
Michael an Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has a heart for edifying the body of Christ through practical teaching and application of the Word of God. His focus has been to see that individuals know the truth of the word and by faith live the life that Christ describes “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (qualitative and quantitatively). He is the founder of Theophilus Ministries a radio broadcast which aired in the Greater Indianapolis area. Active involvement in the field of edifying the body of Christ with Evangelical Training Association (ETA) Certification, Kerygma Discipleship Training for Church Growth, and Serendipity Chairman for in-home Small Groups development. Actively providing pulpit supply for several denominations and other settings and menus.
Michael serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Crossroads Bible College. Crossroads in a Biblical institution of Higher Learning. The Mission of Crossroads Bible College is to Glorify God by Training Christian Leaders to Reach a Multi-ethnic Urban World for Christ. These activities have allowed Michael to utilize his experiences both spiritual and professional to help advance the focus and effort in transforming leaders and individuals for Christ. This has provided Michael a platform to exhort and encourage leaders for the work of Christ in the urban setting with future growth internationally.
Civic and Professional involvement: Michael’s background began with Toastmasters International speaking on many topics and motivational focus. His career with Marathon Petroleum has spanned almost 36 years. During this time he has been involved with or served on several professional committees. These would include being a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, a member Pipeline Research Council Institute International and his last three year assignment was assisting as a Change Readiness Consultant for the SAP Implementation for Marathon Petroleum. He recently retired from Marathon Petroleum Corporation after 36 years of service in January 2015. His civic involvement includes being a certified NCAA Division I Soccer Official, receiving an Instructor Certification for Soccer officials. Michael has coordinated the United Way Fundraising Activities for Marathon Pipeline while living in Findlay,Ohio.
Hobbies include being a private pilot, gardening, reading and research of any kind.
Michael and Angela have been married 39 years and has two children and three grandchildren.
